Cardamom, famously coined as the “Queen of Spices” is an ageless plant with a single stem. Dried Cardamom capsule which is traded as a spice is the world's third-most expensive spice. Cardamom is widely cultivated in the Western Ghats of Southern India mostly in Kerala. India is second largest exporter of this spice. Depending on the size of the dried fruit, cardamon is staged into different grades. Cardamon seeds are mainly used as a flavoring agent in the food industry. The Oil extracted is used for flavouring of beverages such as coffee and tea.
